The god father
sound effect
emotional realism which is a technique which uses sound to build up the thought process so that the audience would be able to understand what the character is thinking without the use of functional dialogue. An example of this begins within 3:38 where the sound effect of a train which symbolises him getting himself ready to kill the two people he's with to carry out his families decisions, the effect then gradually build up in volume until it surrounds the scene till it becomes a main priority of the technique within the audience's perspective. Which then link to Hyper-real which is using sound which exaggerates and provide a huge impact into the scene to make it seem realistic. A example within the related clip of 'The Godfather' would be within 4:27 second in the video clip which suggest that the scene would use hyper real sound effects such as the train effect increasing in volume within the background to represent how the character within the toilet scene is readying himself to kill the two men within the other room which help develop the tension and support the audience to know what happening and sympathise with the character and his future action which would link towards emotional realism techniques through telling the audience the build up of the next future scene without using dialogue and prop within the scene.

This would also link to the beach scene within the film 'Saving Private Ryan' where they consistently use is same music within the sound bed which blends in within multiple scenes throughout the scenario, which suggest the use of a sound bridge which is using music or sound effects to link scenes and clips together. This links in with 'The GodFather' by using sound to have a huge impact within the scene through using the music to represent the soldiers feelings and symbolising their lives flashing before eyes to present the scenario and the atmosphere of the battlefield. This is suggested throughout the clips where it uses impactful music to suggest both despair on the battlefield and show that the solider are loosing hope by the slow and tense music to support the audience to lead up to that idea.

Shawshank Redemption
The music which is suggested to contribute to a score which is a term to describe a films soundtrack which is composed by one person who's name for this particular score would be Thomas Newman. The use of music present on it's own a warm and influential mood and tone towards the related clip within the movie 'Shaw shank Redemption', through it's use of non-diegetic and establishing sound factor which is basically a use of sound which is edited in after to apply effects which the characters within the movie can't hear due to being only used for the purpose of supporting the audience to keep up-to-date with the situation within the scene without ruining the moment through using either hyper realistic. functional dialogue or synchronous techniques which is basically use of sound which can be seen produced by a object or character within the scene. Which then links to non-synchronous which is sound that is produced outside the clip to get a feel to the surrounding and allow the audience to predict the scene within the next clip of the film. A example of using established sound would be within 3:30 seconds in where the two main characters finding each other again after they both got out of prison and reaching the point of the scene where they meet within a beach and from a mid shot gradually becomes a establishing shot with the help of using the establishing sound which gradually uses a fading effect within the sound where it reduces the volume which harmonises with the use of zooming out of the scene, this would suggest to the audience relief that the two character finally found each other outside of the prison walls.

Guardians of the Galaxy uses non-diegectic and emotional realism wit their use of music so that it portrays the character of Peter Quill's mum from the beginning scene's which showed how she was very important to him and the key aspect of their relationship was through listening to her favourite music but then died but gave him a present, this suggest towards the audience that every time we hear the music within both diegetic from when in his ship show the music being played from his stereo. But mostly non- diegetic techniques which is more edited into the specified clips to make a effect within the atmosphere and present the emotion within the scene to amplify what the characters thinking which then links to the technique emotional realism. This is suggested the clip when Peter Quill and Gamora are alone within 1:49 to 2:26 where they use diegetic technique to create the mood to the scene to support the audience to know whats happening within the scene. The music symbolises how important his mother was to him but also the time when he was taken into the outside of earths atmosphere and then link the music throughout the film to suggest how they use the music. This links to Shawshank Redemption by how they used sound within the background of the scene however using non- diegetic sound to support the audience to know the film has a positive outcome to the two prison friends meet together on a beach to start a new life which link also to emotional realism.
