Evaluation for soundtrack and audio

Guardians of the Galaxy (Dance Off clip)

Within my first clip which was the final fighting scene where the guardians face off with Ronan within a dance off. The techniques I used within this specific clip were dubbing using lip syncing through using Garage band software which was a really effective way of recording the dialogue through lip syncing due to having the clip being shown whilst recording the dialogue whilst the clip was muted so that it make it easier to keep in time with the scene visually, I also used sourced sound effects by a sound effect website called freesound.org which give me as much variety of sound effects to apply a profession and clean audio input to the scene so the it doesn't sound out of place towards the audience to separate the scene to it's appropriate mood. However, within this area I would improve the slight change in volume within some sound effect within the clip to apply a hyper realistic feel towards the scenes relevant to make the audience feel more engaged with the movie and seem more impactful at the time. Another technique I used would also include the music and sound track I used through out the clip so that it would have the similar effect within the actual scene which was both sourced which applied tension and intensity to the scene which emphasised the mood of danger and motivation depending on the scene such as the first moment of the scene where Ronan is talking about the end and destruction of the planet I used sourced music from youtube and converted it into a mp3 file which applied tension and suspense toward the audience's heart to portray the end, this was then broken by one of the iconic sound rack of the movie which applies a symbolic effect of the character of Peter Quill out off no where singing and having a dance off to apply a comedic mood and atmosphere for the audience's view due to it being so out of place but also very good timing to fade the suspense that the characters and audience felt. Personally, i felt that this was quite successful due to it have a variety of chosen techniques to suit the clips emotion and impactful state. However, if I had more time to improve it I would focus more within the experimentation and manipulation of the volume to have more symbolic meaning and layer the importance of the music and sound effect to impact the audience more to suit the mood and atmosphere within it's relevant state.

Deadpool Clip

Within the second clip which was based on Deadpool and his X-men friends to face of with Francis to save his girl and take revenge for what happened to him to get his powers. In this clip I used the techniques which were based entirely of sound effects, this included foley sound effect which are basically home made sound effect which were clapping, punches and banging sound effect which felt mostly realistic however if I were to improve it I would use volume and layering other sound effects to make things which based within the explosions and combat to be effective and distinctive to apply the intensity and mood towards the audience. I also used some sourced sound effect from the freesound.org website similar to the first clip to make sure I had enough sound based techniques within my final production due to within the first clip I used I felt didn't use much sound effects within throughout the clip especially within the beginning of the scene. Personally, I overall felt that this was quite successful due to the sound effect were mostly clean and in sync to the clip which was also due the Garage band software which allowed me to easily cut and apply to material while watching the clip in detail to make sure it fluent with the clip.

proposal

The two scenes I will be using will be based more within the marvel universe such as Deadpool  clip: 2 girls one punch which is 59 seconds long and consist of dialogue, non-diegetic music, sound effect such as punches, super hero landing, hitting metal, clapping and texting, burning noise, the clip was also based on a scene Directed by Tim Miller, Also the Guardians of the Galaxy dance off scene which is 3:37 second sequence where they base the scene with non- diegetic music material within the movies iconic soundtracks based, also through out they use . The sound effect which ill be focusing on within this clip would be low sound of walking on gravel, slow motion explosion crumbling, flying projecties,  locking in sound, screaming out in pain, whooshing sound(foley). The dialogue within the clips they use a small amount of synchronous techniques within the beginning where Ronan was about to destroy the Nova Core until Peter Quill started singing within the back of the camera to suggest his presence. There was also another scene when Ronan realises that it was just a distraction and the sound effect in the background the rockets moon destroyer charging up within the background which also linked up to the technique hyper real where they made it seem impactful towards the audience as if the sound effects actually happening behind them. The use of iconic sound track was using the technique of emotional realism where it symbolises his mother which was how the film beginning scene was set with the death of his mother. The director of the film was James Gunn.

The locations I'll be using for recording would be based within college grounds in room 209 due to having a calm silent room so that theres no background sound within the recordings or just not relevant material to corrupt the recording. The equipment I would be using are mainly based on software which ill be using a laptop for recording more better mic compared to the desktop to have clarity, within the software aspect I'm going to use garage band to record, apply sound effect and import the clip so that I could lipsink to the dialogue.

Daredevil Season 2 trailer 2

Within this workshop I experimented on ways to produce sound effect to contrast with the visual display through using my own sound effect instead of just using sourced content, Personally through using foley sound effects I felt that these were mostly to develop a more realistic and practical way of producing a sound which is right for the clip and scene you would wish to apply.

Amazing spider man music input editing

Within this workshop I experimented with using sourced and made in garage band music soundtrack to produce a effect as a diegetic and non-diegetic techniques. Within my sourced sound track I used a source from youtube Cash Cash- Take me home so suggest a romantic scene within the amazing spider man 2 scene where Peter Parker is meeting up with Gwen Stacey after they broke up and there trying to just hang out as friends. I based most of the sound track within the beginning before the first section of dialogue starts to suggest the first time for awhile that they met up he just had a moment when he saw Gwen on the other side of the road, which was very effective as a experiment. This then developed into the made soundtrack where I used the electric piano to experiment with harmonising with the movement and actions of the two characters which was quite successful as a first attempt how I would like to experiment with more instruments and effects so that it could also suggest mood and movement together just through the music and the beat.

Wednesday, 9 March 2016

Throughout the editing process I tried to keep the style of the scene to stay humorous but still have the situation to be seen as a key scene within the movie. How I adapted it was changing around the voices to emphasis to the comedic material and sustain the marvel style of production. Within the background I made sure that the sound was that high in volume compared to the dialogue so that they can both be distinctive sounds but still equally impactful towards the audience so that it it present a awkward but also use the synchronous technique where you can see that Gamora is the source of the sound effect while being strangled by Drax.

Assignment

The god father
sound effect
emotional realism which is a technique which uses sound to build up the thought process so that the audience would be able to understand what the character is thinking without the use of functional dialogue. An example of this begins within 3:38 where the sound effect of a train which symbolises him getting himself ready to kill the two people he's with to carry out his families decisions, the effect then gradually build up in volume until it surrounds the scene till it becomes a main priority of the technique within the audience's perspective. Which then link to Hyper-real which is using sound which exaggerates and provide a huge impact into the scene to make it seem realistic. A example within the related clip of 'The Godfather' would be within 4:27 second in the video clip which suggest that the scene would use hyper real sound effects such as the train effect increasing in volume within the background to represent how the character within the toilet scene is readying himself to kill the two men within the other room which help develop the tension and support the audience to know what happening and sympathise with the character and his future action which would link towards emotional realism techniques through telling the audience the build up of the next future scene without using dialogue and prop within the scene.

This would also link to the beach scene within the film 'Saving Private Ryan' where they consistently use is same music within the sound bed which blends in within multiple scenes throughout the scenario, which suggest the use of a sound bridge which is using music or sound effects to link scenes and clips together. This links in with 'The GodFather' by using sound to have a huge impact within the scene through using the music to represent the soldiers feelings and symbolising their lives flashing before eyes to present the scenario and the atmosphere of the battlefield. This is suggested throughout the clips where it uses impactful music to suggest both despair on the battlefield and show that the solider are loosing hope by the slow and tense music to support the audience to lead up to that idea.

Shawshank Redemption
The music which is suggested to contribute to a score which is a term to describe a films soundtrack which is composed by one person who's name for this particular score would be Thomas Newman. The use of music present on it's own a warm and influential mood and tone towards the related clip within the movie 'Shaw shank Redemption', through it's use of non-diegetic and establishing sound factor which is basically a use of sound which is edited in after to apply effects which the characters within the movie can't hear due to being only used for the purpose of supporting the audience to keep up-to-date with the situation within the scene without ruining the moment through using either hyper realistic. functional dialogue or synchronous techniques which is basically use of sound which can be seen produced by a object or character within the scene. Which then links to non-synchronous which is sound that is produced outside the clip to get a feel to the surrounding and allow the audience to predict the scene within the next clip of the film. A example of using established sound would be within 3:30 seconds in where the two main characters finding each other again after they both got out of prison and reaching the point of the scene where they meet within a beach and from a mid shot gradually becomes a establishing shot with the help of using the establishing sound which gradually uses a fading effect within the sound where it reduces the volume which harmonises with the use of zooming out of the scene, this would suggest to the audience relief that the two character finally found each other outside of the prison walls.

Guardians of the Galaxy uses non-diegectic and emotional realism wit their use of music so that it portrays the character of Peter Quill's mum from the beginning scene's which showed how she was very important to him and the key aspect of their relationship was through listening to her favourite music but then died but gave him a present, this suggest towards the audience that every time we hear the music within both diegetic from when in his ship show the music being played from his stereo. But mostly non- diegetic techniques which is more edited into the specified clips to make a effect within the atmosphere and present the emotion within the scene to amplify what the characters thinking which then links to the technique emotional realism. This is suggested the clip when Peter Quill and Gamora are alone within 1:49 to 2:26 where they use diegetic technique to create the mood to the scene to support the audience to know whats happening within the scene. The music symbolises how important his mother was to him but also the time when he was taken into the outside of earths atmosphere and then link the music throughout the film to suggest how they use the music. This links to Shawshank Redemption by how they used sound within the background of the scene however using non- diegetic sound to support the audience to know the film has a positive outcome to the two prison friends meet together on a beach to start a new life which link also to emotional realism.

Evaluation

Within the production the individual roles everyone had to take to participate in the process of producing the short film which mainly were Chris Backway as the director due to having his short film being chosen between the various synopsis's and planning, Tom Clarke as prop and location manager who allocated and got approval for any land that we scheduled to shot the clips. Daisy DaSilva who was one of the co-prop manager and extra which helped out with props with tom but also make sure have either another actor or background characters within specific scenes and finally my role was the camera man plus camera schedule such as storyboards and decide what camera angles. The production stages of the short film were structured as pre-production using treatments, draft storyboards, proposing to the producer the film idea and location and risk assessment. The shooting period where we had production schedule and production diary throughout my shooting production. Finally, after collecting all the clips which we shot I converted towards the editing phase of the production where I did various editing techniques which were mainly influence by Edgar Wright. Some of my creative decisions were inspired by scenes such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and The amazing spider man 2 graveyard scenes where the shot revolve around the actors to show sympathy towards the characters from the audiences view. However, it was mostly Edgar Wright who influenced most of the fast pans and clips which present either a long journey or long scene to keep the audiences thought on the movie with the storyline. An example of this would be 1:44 to 2:03 where main character is searching for information and location of his brother, which suggest a long journey with various camera shots such as mid, long and close up shots to present different surroundings, but also the use of short clips to shorten the clips and view the audience would need to see for the journey to keep relevant to the time and overall story line and keep the audience still interested.

The genre convention is a mixture of drama which is presented in the film through a family based storyline which natural present a dramatic background to the film, with mystery which is presented through the use of sound journey the character went through in the film. This aspect was inspired by the movie 'the usual suspects' due to the complex thinking through who is the person the main character in our short film is trying to find and what happened to him in the end.

The narrative structures of the film is that it's a single strand due to only having one main story so that the audience don't get confused on where their focus should be due to this film is based as a fast pace and strong imagery so they don't miss out on any crucial information.

Within the technical methods I was trying to recreate Edgar Wright's techniques of using small camera clips within journey's to suggest the length however only reveal to the audience the most relevant aspect of the scene to still keep them interest. A example of this would be 1:40 to 2:06 where he's running around the area to find and discover where his brother has been and where he can find him which then gradually leave him to where he start at the very beginning. The camera angles I used to portray different scenes and aspect of the storyline were long and established shots on where the Sanderstead church is first shown so the audience isn;t just placed in some random location, I wanted them to start naturally by presenting the area before we get into the meeting the main character and his objective. I also used mid shots as my main use of presenting the story so that it keep the focus less on the scenery and a object but more on the journey such as the scene where he sit down in his house and finds the crease on the photo which then present another character in the movie who become the characters objective, this allowed the audience to focus and try to figure out what he has discovered which is so important to him which allows them to embrace the mysterious factor of the stories genre. This then allows me to link to the use of close ups and extreme close up's on key object of the story such as the group of clip which show the process of the main character trying to discover who the person in the photo of him and his mum could be which through the use of mis-en-scene of him writing suggestion of who it could be on the paper to suggestion what is happening in his mind and presenting the information to the audience in written form. The variety of movement I presented within the stories running and searching clips were the use of panning and tracking shots, this is clearly present when the main character is searching the area for any information on the figure in the photo which was revealed to be the brother, the tracker shots were a mixture of individual tracking shots edited into one scenario to suggest different environments to present a longer journey. The use of lighting was suppose to be grey and gloomy which would suggest mystery and present a sympathetic atmosphere from the audience's point of view. The use of sound was the main feature and impact of the movie which gave it the name 'The Way' which was produced by Mark Hemsey, I used the music to suggest both some cuts to the beat so that both imagery and use of sound would harmonise with each other. A example of cut to the beat would be 7-9 seconds in the beginning of the film from switching between a acknowledging the location of the scene and starting scenario to identifying who the main character is for the audience but also who the main focus the audience will have to familiarise themselves with. The use of mis-en scene within the film are mainly based on the scenes where he's researching and discovering things about his suppose to be brother. A example of this would be 1:24 to 1:42 within the thinking out loud scene where he rights whatever he's thinking to provide information to the audience to keep them up to date on what going on without the use of dialogue, there also some scene which use mis-en-scene to present who gravestone they represent within the start and the end through flashing a image of a photo of the person.

final group planning diary

Within this project at  the moment I've been mainly producing the production story board which include the camera techniques used in each scene however not yet processed the audio to make it a choice what the others want within editing the scene and producing the sound file. Within the group discussion we decided to organise a day off college within the 15th or 14th December. 17th December -Due to issues we will be doing shooting within the holidays and edit after holiday. We did a few clips of the boy trying to find his brothers location through a variety of camera shot within the Coulsdon area. 6th January- we'll be collecting all the shot we have at the moment however, within the process of editing we'll be getting more clip as backup shots. 22nd January I'm within the process of finalising and editing so it will meet the deadline of Thursday 28th January. 25th January I'm only tweaking some of the clip to improve visual support towards the audience to make it more symbolic.

Initial idea for film production

Genre would be a combination of action but also comedy to have a balance to fun mixed in with the fast pace benefits within the action side of the genre. I would also apply some drama into the mix so that the audience can see some of the characters lives within the background scenes of the main factor of the film.

The draft title Diego- The Skittles of Gods. This title represent the main character being outside the normal world living in the world in terms of hunt or be hunted by the government but also from his story before he became this obstacle the government are setting their dog to after. This also present mysterious effect with just the few word to apply tension into the audiences hearts.

The brief summary of the film would be a man named Diego Noches who is being hunted by the government to stealing top secret skittles which have special properties which if it is in the wrong has stop the whole world from tasting the rainbow forever. Diego must stash the skittles into a special organisation called STD(skittle's tank of dominance) to secure the special skittle from the government but also the world. He will also gain the knowledge of his past life where he had a wife and gradually gets his memories back the time before he was forgotten from the memories of the outside world.

The opening of the film would be a close up of the skittles in Diego's hand then pan to his face and start starring back like he's being chased which would then which to a side camera view of him running tree's around the forest and within the background would be sound effects of gun shot a shouting which present to the audience that he's being chased. Which this whole scene would be he future which then flash back into the presents diego in a government facility trying to steal information from the government which his clients payed for about their big organisation which then leads up to a man running from men with guns then get shot in the butt which then gives the information to the audience from a rogue government associate who tells him everything will run into chaos if you don't take these skittles to the STD.

The ending would present a open ending to apply imagination into the audiences within the end it gets to the scene of Diego running in the forest from the government and suddenly gets pushed into a rock by a mysterious character who reveals themselves as Diego's life from his past life. This presents suspense and causes Diego to react and present a flash back of how he hated his wife Benita and remembers what he wanted to to tell her before he left her within his past life which then led to her ranting about what has he been doing all this time and how she loves him. But then the conclusion was Diego responding to her love by saying awkwardly 'I want a Divorce'. Which then weaken her which lead him to grab the skittles and run to the organisation which the film then ends in him waiting at the checkpoint that they place to add suspense.

This will be a single strand narrative however could also be a multi strand since it gains the story of both the present story but also the story of diego's past to learn about our main character who the audience were randomly pushed onto focus and clear there heads.

single camera assignment

Assignment A:
Children of men is a featured movie presented in futuristic UK which the plot is about the existence of human are gradually decreasing and the present of hope is withering away dude to out of no where women have become infertile and the main character looses hope until out o nowhere a women refugee who is pregnant needs to get to a boat and be transported to a mysterious organisation which would help her and humanity keep going.

The genre of children of men would be Sci-fi, drama and thriller due to comparing when the movie was in production which was in 2006 it predict the future of UK through use of mis-en-scene which is shown by prop of clothing used to present the future by making and predicting the 2012 olympic promotional items which would be very effective within the time this was produced. This film could also consist of a religious perspective through a scene where the refugee who the main character has to transport to the mysterious organisation reveals her secret as being a women who's pregnant and furtile. Within a movies context this is presented as a sign of hope for reproducing the human race through the drastic change from nothing else to loose to do anything to keep the hope for humanity alive.

The narrative use within children of men.An example of use of linear techniques within children of men would be From beginning to 1:21 of the car scene, the use of camera is mainly mid camera shot and they base the mid point within a clear view of both the three at the back to each side angle of the front passengers. The pace of the camera pans are slow to present a casual enviroment and more peaceful which allows social build up between the characters however after the quick right pan toward the front view of the car and present a car rolling down the hill on fire which suggests to me how the peace is going to be corrupted and car is like a time once it get to the front of the characters way havoc will break loose and camera techniques switches into a fast pace and chaotic movement however still keeps onto a mid shot within the car to show only the perspective of the people in the car which also keep the audience thrilled within the scene.

The technical methods of the movie would be the amazing use of panning and mid camera shots which show characters within a frame which allows them to show the perspective from back of the car who would be looking towards the front of the car and the front to back, but also fades which background to focus on the people speaking to narrow the audience focus for example of presenting a emotional state towards the audience by the scene 3 seconds to 6 seconds into the clip. The lighting suggests a similar feeling to the one shot tracking scene with the uprising, the use of dawn is presenting a fresh start but this scene presents a lead up within the lighting due to within the car scene it's less intense which suggest something big is coming which would link to a new life however presents problems through obstacles such as death, fire and police which suggest the government. An example of this technique would be within 1:25 to 2:12. The use of sound is very effective within the car scene since they use a diejectic and changes the fluency within the casual to the fast fast scene which present the balance of pace within the clip. The example of this would be within 1:21 and goes through out where it's casually plays radio music then suddenly switches to a chaotic background sound effects after the car is crashed into a tree.

The technical method are also effective within the use of tracking within the uprising which was 2.52 minutes since it's only edited or cut scenes within the tracking shot which give the full view of the main character within the uprising. This is a signature of pure linear clip where it doesn't even loose sight of the main characters which allows the audience to feel more sync with the action. An example of a good effect on how they show the characters perspectives is within 1:14 of the clip someone get shot within a broken coach and the camera is placed within a mid shot behind our main character where he is travelling through the bus a the window break and someone gets shot from a millitary soldier, then blood is splattered onto the camera lens suggesting how gruesome the scene is but also suggesting he chaos and allowing the audience to feel like their covered in blood and following the character closely behind which is very effective special effects, this would also suggest the atmosphere of the scene through lighting which suggests through showing dawn and start of the a new day which suggest to me through mis-en-scene of all the rumble and chaos to also show a new start or new sense of hope for humanity to restart from a chaotic and destructive and restart a new life. The use of sound however is different compared to the car scene due to it being non-diejectic from background piano music and sound effects which re artificially added by the director to present a tense environment instead of use of radio which is more naturally applied. A example of this scene would be 22 to 53 seconds.

Grand budapest hotel

The Grand Budapest hotel is a featured film which leads to a story of a young lobby boy who gradually works his way up to the owner of the Grand budapest hotel through a world of war which would be around the time of the pre and during world war 2 due to the envolvement of looking through immagrants within a train journeys but also, within the close end of the film the hotel is taken into custady by the police to claim order and capture Gustav for running out of prison.

The  genre of the featured film The Grand Budapest is comedy due to the exaggerated and symetrical use of camera shots and movement but also use of dialogue from Gustav such as use of swearing and emphasis on character roles. For example, within the will scene where we meet the bad guys for the first time they exaggerate their roles as being the bad guys through use of mis-en-scene with the use of black clothing and a evil side kick who wears knuckledusters and who is presented as a brawler from 40 onwards of the clip. This applies toward the audience who humorous this scene is due to not even making them guess who would be the bad guys due to making them seem like the three sisters, the brother and his puppet. They present a slight amount of drama within the past lives but also situations of use of prejudice reason which within one scene where Gustav met up with Zero and got annoyed about the amount of resources he got after he escaped prison.

The use of narrative techniques this is an example of a non linear narrative because they go from the start of the movie which is Zero being interviewed and telling the story to a interviewer and zero narrates the story of how he became the owner of the grand budapest which present the whole movie as a flash back to the past from when he was a teen. This clip suggests how zero is first noticed as a important character within the film by the skills used by placing him into a official interview with Gustav which gives the audience a huge amount of information of the characters within a short clip. For example within 29 seconds onwards, this suggest to the audience that both characters might have a similarity of having no family from the pause from Gustav and zero and looking each other within a close up to both characters faces, but also use of direct eye contact of using mis-en-scene to show how they feel familiar with each others situation even though they just met which then suggest the strong bond the two characters will have throughout the film.

The technical features of the movie is very effective and unique from the signature use of symetrical and artistic background settings, An example of use of bright and hand made models of settings to emaphasis the made up fantasy world throughout the clip where they present the atmosphere through use of artificial essence to both the mis-en-scene for example when Gustav and Zero go into the elevator within 7 to 14 second into the clip it show a full body side camera view which keeps symetrical does a different view of instead following up with the actual characters they within a area near by the walk to the elavator and keeps in place which is very effective to create a artificial and fantasy based world. The use of sound is presented to fit the signature of the director way of making the use of sound cut and harmonies  with the specific scene. An example of this would be within 25  to 39 seconds where to present a humorous scene where they use silence to make it seem awkward within the specific situation then gradually create and paced medium toned sound track with the piano where Gustav and Zero are planning on what their going to say the police since they just left the will scene and are a suspect to murder, then when they change to the next scene the music goes from casual to a more dramatic when they meet the police which create a suspicious atmosphere towards the audience.

Doctor who is a series which is about a man who is known as a timelord who travel within a blue police box picking up partners to go see the world and stop anything that would corrupt the balance of the universe and time itself. This is a series because even though it's presenting a long period of time it doesn't lead up to one specific objective like for example The wire which is a long term serial which leads to maybe or not hunting down this leader of this gang community. Instead, the tv series Doctor who has small endings within each episode which could lead to a special event for example the doctor regenerating and changing his form for around 2 year minimum or strong foe's wanting to endanger either the Doctor or his companions lives.

The genre of this series would be adventure due to the main idea of the tv show is to travel the space and time and discover new species and hidden secrets and enemy of the Doctor. This would also be seen as a drama due to learning about the Doctor's but also his companions lives and sometimes link them in throughout a particular episode or episodes.

The narrative techniques used would be a single camera based series due to mainly basing the show within the two character such as The doctor and his companion, however it also consist within specific events or situations that it becomes a multi-camera based episode for example if a group of enemies group up to destroy the doctor or the earth the doctor groups up with characters such as old and new doctor but also companion around the universe. This example is called 'the day of the Doctor'.
The story plot is quite slow and gradual but also, non linear effect due to use of flash backs and flash forward episodes. This example would be within the episode of the of the doctor where they link doctors history into saving his life and hidden secret.

Within the new series they introduced the Doctor present a slight outline of whats to come within the episode but not as direct to ignore any spoilers. An Example of this would be within this scene where he's talking not to another character but towards the audience as narrating a specific issue which is the main factor the episode is based upon, he also uses mi-en-scene to present his age through obtaining historical objects and historical information which suggest his character being wise and knowledgeable.

The technical aspect of doctor who would be use of mis-en-scene where they present the doctor as powerful and strong but, gives no mercy towards his enemies but at the same time towards his allies. An example of this is within the Pompeii episode with David Tennant where he leaves behind the people of pompeii when the volcano erupts but then few moments later he travel back for the family he saved before he then leads up to the scene where it uses camera techniques of a long shot of them looking down to the village and seeing the chaos which then present the mis-en-scene of showing how the Doctor can change the fate of people lives at his will which then suggest how he can manipulate people like puppets on a string which shows power in both evil and good way to suggest about his character that theres more than meets the eye and that secret will unwind throughout the series. The example for this would be at the start to 21 seconds where they show davis tenant as the saviour and stand posing strong to present power over the family presenting weakness since they don't want to die and then present a close camera shot of the maan reaching out to the Doctor.
The use of sound is presented within the intro where it suggest a mysterious entity of the universe, time and the whole series. This also links to one of the special event within christmas where they fight his old rival the Master and he take over the world, this link to the use of sound since he becomes insane with the sound of intro which then suggests how it's not use a sound track or effect but it also show how much people are effected by time and how it can change a persons characteristics. This episode presents the character of the master but also the variety  scenes where the drum effects and changes the characteristic of the master which effect the Doctor even more to add rival effect in between the two characters.

Children of men

The children of men is directed by Alfonso Cauron who is also famous for directing gravity. This was produced within 2006 which would make the genre of the movie interesting through use of predicting the future through looking at the olympics 2012 through one scene when the main character was wearing a olympic 2012 jumper to present the year but also the genre which would be a british scifi, action and drama. However could be seen within the civil war scene where they show through a tracking shot chaos of war which suggest how impactful the baby being born through beginning the rebels uprising to gain the upper hand against the military. The effectiveness of using the tracking camera shot within the length they presented it with was to make it more realistic and not cutting out of the action and make the audience feel like they

The year of broadcast release was within October 31st 2010 and the main cast of the TV seial is andrew lincoln, Steven Yeun, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Lauren Cohan, Daniel Guirra. The walking dead is a survival post  apocaclyptic zombie TV serial which has a ongoing story of a group of survivor keeping alive and finding danger and resources along the way. The creator of the walking dead TV series would be Frank Darabond.

The format of this example would be a serial because it's a ongoing TV series which doesn't have a resolve or have a solution in each episode. This serial would be seen as a horror, sci-fi this is because of the thought of post apocalyptic scenerio where survival is key and the message of no one is safe because they're getting hunted by zombie but also getting hunted by themselves as in other humans.

The overall plot of this serial is to survive and find the cure to this zombie apocalypse, they use a linear view of walking through scenerio per episode. However, this could be seen as a non linear since once in every few groups of episode they use flashbacks to present more in depth story and scenerio of what each person in the group had to deal with before the apocalypse but also before they met each other which applies curiousity of what they had to do to get this far in survival, which also includes each episode to be a open ending and not a resolved story line which maintain the linear aspect of the walking dead. The characters roles would be for example, the hero is rick grimes since he's basically the leader of the group and allows people to join there group which is positive however only does it if the person or people haven't killed that many people through the journey to them. The heroine of the serial would be shared between the women in the group who is (Carol Peletier) Melissa McBride, (Maggie Green) Lauren Cohan, (Sasha Williams) Sonequa Martin-Green and (Michonne) Danai Gurira, this is because each female has character and persona which have a aspect of saving the group from danger such as carol is more you must learn to survive of die, Mochonne would be calm collective use anger towards the zombies but don't get reckless. The villain is similar to the usual zombie horror movie genres which are zombies, but also greed and dangerous people for example cannibals, hunter and other organisation with tyrants as leaders. The purpose of the hero and heroine would be to lead the group through tough situation and make sure that people know how to survive through the chaos. Also the villains purpose is to become the obstacle of the group depending on the danger level of the enemy organisation, they also allow to gradually let the group learn from mistakes by trusting mysterious people and seeming weak to other groups, this would also make sure to present the danger of greed and how the scenes and story changes the people's characteristics by their negative or positive thoughts of a similar situation.

The theme of the serial would be different depending on the situation since sometime they portray the theme of social inequality and some episode main factor and focus are friendship and bond between the group which group up together of the theme of the whole serial as looking at the freedom and the greed and emotion leaking out from the thought of surviving a zombie apocalypse.

The music they use within the intro of the walking dead applies suspense and curiosity to every start of the walking dead episodes which effect the audience by building up the suspense even before the episode carries on so that they keep realising that it a empty world which is gradually disappearing and the only hope now for the future is still a mystery which you have to keep watching the serial to gradually understand the true story and all the option of the final end to the destruction of the apocalyptic event. For example within the trailer they present fear and change through just the use of the sound of zombies coming closer and is a unique way to present suspense within a situation and make the characters react faster within the situation.

Gaurdians of the galaxy

the director of the marvel movie is James Gunn and is known for writting the scripts for scooby doo, the scooby doo 2: monsters unleashed but also the 2004 version of Dawn of the dead. The movie was released within 2014 and the main characters were:

Chris Pratt- Peter Quill/ Star Lord
Zoe Saldana - Gamora
Dave Buautista- Drax
Vin Diesel- Groot (voice)
Bradley Cooper- Rocket (voice)
Lee Pace-Ronan
Micheal Rooker- Yondu Udonta
Karen Gillan- Nebula
Djimon Hounsou- Korath
John C. Reilly- Corpsman Dey
Glenn Close- Nova Prime
Benicio Del Toro- The collector

This would be a featured film which would be categorised within the genre's of action, adventure and scific since it has a quite fast paced but discovering the traits of the characters but also the setting and enviroment such as space, ship and of a marvel universe. The basic plot of the film is that a group of criminal who are Peter Quill somehow are linked together to save the universe from a tyrant called Ronan. The ending of the film was more of a open ending since they ended it through flying off into space having said 'what should we do next, bit of good, bit a bad, bit ah both' and then goes into space and ends which present more by saying space has a lot to find and discover.

The main heros and charcter such as gamora, peter quinn, drax, rocket and groot have different skills which fill the gaps of ech other weaknesses for example Star Lord who is Peter Quinn who has leadership and good combat skills but is careless and childish and gamora is cunning however untrusting and suspicious which then goes towards rocket whos intelligent and confident but hot headed and inprotected without someone big by his side like groot who has great strength but stupid and cant be left alone. Finally drax who is full of rage and really strong however reckless who's filled up with hate and doesnt think straight through revenge. The villain would be Ronan who trys to take
Xander and kill everyone on it to overthrow the truce between his and Xander's race. Theres also a character named Yondu which took Peter Quill then nurtured him to become a criminal robber but then gradually seen to just hunt down the stones to sell for a lot of money but then help the gaurdians infiltrate ronan's ship. The theme of the film would be  mixed fom the start was emotional where peter quills mother died from cancer then too freedom from the though of a terrorsit tyrant wanting to destroy their universe. However I would lso say how theirs themes being presented by the characters stories before they met such as peter quill mainly did it for money but everyone else but groot and rocket who did it for friendship did it fo revenge like gamora who is sworn to take down the person who killed her parent who would be Thanos who is the boss of Ronan, Drax does it for revenge for his life and daughter who Ronan killed with the rest of drax's kind.

I personally love the use of music since they used classic music within scene to present a casual atmosphere while danger and romance to help the essence of the scene to be obvious through the use of the chosen music used. A example of this would be within 19 seconds of the clips which present how he makes a bad and horrible place to be at into somewhere joyful and positive through use of music and dance scenes. This would also appal to the story of Peter Quill due to his mum gave him the sound track before she died which apply sympothy to him since that the last thing he has from her and treasures it dearly.

The examples of a variety of camera angles use would be within the scene where they use of a extreme long shot where they were heading towards the traveller and identify the location as a ancient being who died long ago and used as a resting place. Another example would be how within most scenes which consists of music but also dancing scenes to bring humour towards their marvel fans were presented within a full body or rarely a mid shot which allowed the audience to not just see most of the scene but the surrounding to basically make fun of making a dramatic situation within a action genre into a comedic dance off. An example of this would be within the beginning of the end fight scene within Peter Quill trying to distract Ronan enough for the other to get ready for another attack on his staff. Mainly the use of close of extreme close ups where portrayed when something dramatic or important information is being given within a scene such as love, hatred or sadness to capture the moment and help the audience know whats going on and manipulate how they should feel within a specific situation of a scene.

The Flash

The year of broadcast for 'The Flash' was within 2014 which makes the series quite resent. The main cast of the show are Grant Gustin/ Barry Allen, Candice Patton/ Iris West, Danielle Panabaker/ Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes/ Cisco Ramon, Tom Cavanagh/ Dr. Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin/ Detective Joe West, Rick Cosnett/ Eddie Thawne, Malese Jow/ Linda Park. The format of this tv show would be a series since even though it has a big story to it, within each episode they present a conclusion by either defeating a meta- human or just finding information which would link to other future episodes such as finding information which Barry Allen could reach closer and closer to finding who killed his mother but also releasing his dad from prison. The Genre of the flash would be a action due to fighting of meta- humans and having the title of a super hero series, adventure which is shown through the story line of finding out the big question of who killed Barry Allen's mother but also who is Harrison Wells. This could also be represented as a drama since they add in section of a girl who names Iris who Barry knew since child that he loves but wouldn't be able be together since she just think of him as a friend and is going out with her dad's police partner. The basic plot is they set within american called Central City and Barry Allen get struck by lightning and is hospitalised, which then turn out that he gain the power of a meta human who can run super fast and have high healing regeneration. However, trying to find out who killed his mother and reclaim justice for his father locking up other meta human's along the way with the help of star labs, Iris and Detective Joe West. Within the series they use linear endings so that it doesn't make the audience feel that it's done not much will happen later but they want the audience to think ahead of whats going to happen next which applies curiousity to their though and keep them wanting to see more of the series. The character such as Barry Allen and as the flash is used for security a model to protect the city from what they haven't discovered they cannot understand which gives hope to the citizens of central city but also towards the audience to present peace. The people at star labs such as cisco, Caitlin and Dr Harrison well's is seen as aid and the source of information as for what power each meta human has and how to stop stop them but also crucial to find out who killed Barry's mother. The characters who keep Barry and other character at bay also play as a weakness of the super hero would be Iris and Joe since they play as a responsible but also suspicious characters who mostly get into trouble and get the main character into harms way which portray's what the audience the be feeling but also support on different situation on how they should be feeling. I feel the theme would be friendship of being their for each other to help within a similar goal but also revenge on taking action and applying justice to what the killer placed upon Barry and his family. The main sound effect which is key to the episodes would be when to zooms past the city which is applied within the intro to apply both mistery and speed with the intro but also throughout the episodes. The Key camera shots mainly use repeatively throughout the episode are when he run towards a direction the camera pans within a full body shot in which direction he's running towards which there are example within the intro of the series this emphasis the speed and shortens the clip to make it more fluent in the flash's movement in front of the camera.

tv advert evaluation

The fitness of the advert is quite clear due to me having soft drinks thrown at my face to present the flavour of the product and the only aspect of the advert which presents it being part of the skittles advert would be the ending where it suggest the details of the product by using voice overs and title. This could be improved even further through actually briefly present the product visually at the end but also making a more colourful and bright colour scheme within the display effect by the use of colour filters, which would make sure at the same time the lighting of the video would present the thought of the rainbow which would allow the audience to gradually display this advert within the skittle franchise.

Personally I feel that my main idea was quite simplified and creative by making sure that I wasn't making the audience just look at the advert and say that it described the product within the visual appearance of what the people were doing, but I had a more unique way of suggesting the emotion and feeling of if you buy my product you won't regret it and that if you buy this it will make you even happier and maybe even feel more unique and improve your character as a person.

I would think that this would be relevant to my target audience due to the use of appropriate colour and non aggressive or forceful techniques to make the audience. However I asked a person within the age group of my targeted audience which would improve my adverts to appeal to the group I'm aiming my advert at would be to change the use of music to a more popular and less annoying sound track. Even though, I only tried to use this track due to the music is quite memorable and catching and make the character of my advert quite humorous but also slightly imperative since it make he audience buy the product because they can't get the song out of their head which makes them think of the advert which is extremely effective.

The final outcome of my outcome is quite similar description compared to my planning stage due to beginning the advert with the dancer just standing in the center then randomly dancing towards the camera and then at the end stops and a freeze frame while being splashed with water within a close up angle. However, the sections I have changed so that my TV advert would work successfully by changing the thought of instead of just having one dancer I would have multiple dancers and fast pace beat cuts to suggest variety to the product, I also made sure that the dancer throws water at a random person with a freeze frame. I'm also going to change the variety of camera angles so that their different feature of one shot so that it wouldn't like a dull shot waiting for the dancer to get closer to the camera instead of fast pace cuts to the beat and make it interesting.

The technical and creative conventions I used was use a colourful lighting to present the rainbow within the filters I used within the clips to portray a more enthusiastic and bright environment. This would suggest about my product that if you buy it you'll have a more cheerful and colourful life in the future. The choice of using the technique cutting to the beat where I change the scenes in the advert each time the beat changes which make the advert fluent and more interesting instead of just presenting the clips within a random order. The use of sound effects such as in the end there was a water splash sound effect to emphasis the comedy to the shot which would achieve the brief of the style if was trying to portray within the advert of being a advert some some aspects of humor applied into the scenes. The music I combined and influenced the particular dance movements I made the dancers recreate was Taylor Swift- Shake it off due to even though it not that popular at the time the advert was being created, I used this particular sound track due to the catchy and memorable characteristics of the songs sound and lyrics so that people would remember the product through the personality of the song such as it's fun and unique lyrics and sound.

The persuasive technique I used such as unique selling point of this product is that it the product is part of a unique new flavour within the skittles franchise but also within the sweet industry which has no artificial flavour applied. This information would relieve the risk and danger of parents and children eating the product without thinking of the problems and dangers of buying my product the advert is promoting. This product would apply to the lifestyle of children who go out with there parents or friends and would like to suddenly buy a sweet for the day, parents or adults who have a sweet tooth and would like to snack on sweets such as my product within a event such as the cinema, gaming, watching TV or considering teens would be snacks for something like a social event like a party or a hang out. I targeted the emotional response of the audience as in a more joyful and desperate emotion to make sure they live life to the fullest and try to remove any negative thoughts through buying my product which would become a more imperative method to get more people to buy the product. The hidden message of this product would be to enjoy life and make sure you make the most of life and not afraid to try out new things and buy my new product within the skittle franchise. The advantages of this product to most of the similar flavoured sweets is the reputation already created within the skittles brand printed within the present industry which would create a lot of awareness within a short time, but also appeal a lot to popular stores such as supermarkets like Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury's which would overall present the product as quite successful from the amount of popularity and awareness there is already including my advert.
