producing a advert for plymouth city market


What were the roles of the 2 people?

The man was considered as mainly the sound engineer but also seen as the producer since he was organising what the voice over artist was going to be doing. The women was a voice over artist.

What considerations did the voice artist have to make before the voice recording?

she thought about the tone she had to portray on what she was voicing if it was a happy environment that she had to so joyful and if it's depressing and sad then it would be more malo toned.
She also had to the key feature that she has to emphasis within the advert. If the producer approves on what she believes in what she was thinking for the advert.

What studio equipment was shown?

mixing desk- for playing around with the volume of the lice over feed they got from the microphone so they can make sure they can overlay it with some music which fit advert

desktop- so they can edit the advert and stream it or send to their client to make sure they approve of the product they produced for them 

dynamic microphone-so that no surrounding sound is added to the advert and to give feed from the microphone so that they can edit it in the 

software which they used for the editing. 

What processes in the commercial
writing the script
test the script with voice over artist with testing tone of presenting the advert
if the test run is complete and successful goes through to the sound engineer for editing
once the sound engineer adds in a sound bed for a bedding under the voice over to emphasis the feeling of going to the product in the advert they finish and refine the recording and send it to the clients.
if the clients approve then they broadcast it to the public to enjoy as their official advertisement.

What can a music library have any influence on the advert
An example of using a music library is that the sound engineer added music within the background of the voice over to make sure the audience is still interested in what they're presenting to them but also to manipulate on what the audience emotion to makes sure they feel a specific way in a way of promoting the place within the advert.
